Attendance
- If a student is absent it is their responsibility to makeup any missed exams, assignments, or homework.
- Students must update their notebooks upon return to class.
- If there are circumstances that require an extended absence, please inform me and I will send work home.
Grading
- Test and quizzes will be graded on a scale of 0-100.
- Formal writing assignments, projects, and classwork will be graded on a rubric of 1-4. Four being the highest grade.
- Homework assignments will be graded on a scale of 0 -15.
√ = 10 points
- = 5 points
4. Extra points will be assigned to students who participate in class, answer questions, work
in their groups, and take initiative.
Homework
- Homework will be assigned on a daily basis.
- Homework will be written on the homework section of the board. It is the student’s responsibility to copy it into their agendas.
- Homework will only be accepted for full credit if it is on-time, neat, legible, and shows effort.
- A late homework will only be accepted with a parent’s signature within two days, after two days the student will receive a 0 for the assignment.
Exams & Quizzes
- An exam will be given at the completion of each unit.
- Quizzes will be given on a sporadic basis.
Expected Behavior
- Students must adhere to the rules and policies stated in their handbooks at all times.
- By the time the late bell rings students should be in their seats and ready to work.
- Students must remain in their assigned seats at all times unless otherwise instructed.
- If a student is late they must have a pass and a valid reason.
